Filmmaker
I am a Bangladeshi filmmaker working at the intersection of cinema and social reality.
My debut feature film Saatao (2023) received national and international recognition, including the FIPRESCI Prize, the Gautama Buddha Award at Nepal International Film Festival, Best International Feature Film at Nepal Africa International Film Festival, and four National Film Awards of Bangladesh for Best Film, Best Director, Best Actress, and Best Sound.
Alongside feature films, I have directed short films including Pounopunik (2016) and Ongoj (2017). My work is rooted in socially conscious storytelling, shaped under the mentorship of filmmaker Tanvir Mokammel.
I have served as a jury member in the International Feature Film section at the 8th Nepal International Film Festival (2025) and the 6th Bogura International Film Festival (2026).
I believe cinema is not just a medium of storytelling, but a space for dialogue, resistance, and collective reflection.
